Tyguy80s's News

So, adaMills was nice enough to take a jab at this sonata that I wrote for him. The first two minutes of it I'll adapt for the flutes and sax project. In regards to that project, I'll go ahead and write what's left for that here.

 1. Write more songs: The theme I have in mind is make songs in each these major keys, C, C#/Db, D, Eb, F, F#/Gb, G, and A. This way, I'd have at the very least 10 songs for this suite and if I wanted to have interludes in between that'd be super. The idea is to make at least 20min. worth of music.
 2. Proofreed: Once I've made all the songs it's just a matter of listening to eac hsong and making sure I've check every little detail and check that the sheet music makes sense. I'll have to manually transpose the alto flute part again due to my software but I won't mind.
 3. Publish: I'll upload each song as they're finished and will share all the sheet music on IMSLP.

The concept was that I wanted to write music that was fluttery and fuzzy. Something expressed and conveyed how I felt when meeting women I found attractive and will never talk to. In other words, don't hit on the cashier, they don't really appreciate it ;)

Thanks for reading.

My latest work as of now. I've created a song inspired by a few things. The song has three versions, an initial piano sketch, a flute consort and sax, and all those instruments.

The doodle imaged below was one of the inspirations. The real inspiration was a girl I met some time ago. She was cordial despite not knowing me; a perfect stranger. Women being being nice isn't special but it did make me feel fuzzy inside. I felt that the music I felt at that time was the flutter of flutes accompanied by the warm fuzzy rich sound of a sweetly played saxophone. Maybe I'll compose a full suite off the theme of a flute consort, saxophones, and piano. Amyways, thanks for reading.

So, I was noodling around on my bass clarinet and happened to record some of it. I transcribed the melody, and I added harmonies to it using harp. Now, I could actually play and record this in real life, using a guitar not a harp of course. I might actually do that sometime. Oh well, thanks for reading. In the meantime, I'll make a score-read video of the miniature and the piano sonatas. Just a short update. Thanks for reading. Credit to odditiesbyangela for the art Purple Piano

Hello again :D

The symphony's done. I've uploaded the conductor and part score to IMSLP and YouTube, audio's up here on NG, YouTube, and Bandcamp. Now that logistics are out of the way. with the exception of maybe finding an orchrestra for the symphony. I can focus on creating original music now.

For now, I'm going to stay away from the headache that is figuring ensembles and multiple instruments and their individual techniques. Going back to basics. Two piano sonatas! Rather, two movements/songs in sonata form. Maybe I'll somehow connect them together... who knows? Nonetheless, I'll experiment with pretty piano parts to establish some new material while freeing myself some from the puzzle piecing that group music can become. I'll have I Love Her, and Another Song For Her be the foundation for which the sonatas will be developed upon.

Speaking of group music, I do have a few ideas for songs like a flute ensemble or piccolo, cello, violin, or harmonica accompanied by a piano. I actually play harmomnica so that'd actually be fun for me :) The next big thing after the piano sonatas tha I have in mind is something I'll call the Frog Suite :) The idea is a collection of songs for chamber group premiring double reeded instruments; oboe, english horn, bassoon to be exact. Other instruments would include violin, cello, bass, and piano. I might get Trosynix in on that and make it a collab of sorts :D

That's what y'all can look forward too. A couple of short piano sonata coming your way, and some bigger project soon after. WEEHEE!

So I've completed proofreading the sheet music. I've published the score read video on YouTube, so now the music's out there :) Due to the Newgrounds anti-spam limit, the single tracks will take a couple days to finalize, but I've went through and deleted the obsolete tracks on this site. What's left for me is to upload the conductor's score onto IMSLP and the part scores too, print a few personal copies when that's finished, and let the rivers of life flow in you (Yiruma reference).

I'm glad that this symphony's about done. I've been wanting to write new music and experiment with newly found concepts like added tensions and modal interchange for about a month. Anyways, I'll keep publishing this work and when it's dojne I'll make another blog post. Thanks for reading.

I've established the foundation of the entire Symphony project! With the exception of additional insturmentation of the final movement, the songs are realized. It shall be called "Allison & Victoria". Sort of a jab at Ravel's Daphnis et Chole with the namesake, but the music's much more original.

The reason behind this is because of two colleuges of mine. As much as I've tried not too, I developed love feelings for both of them. This Symphony's meant to take the place of any amount of physical affection I could ever give them. Hugs and kisses last only a minute, but a symphony lasts a lifetime.

The remaining steps that stand between my hard drive and this Symphony's birth are...

 1. Proofread the notation: Since a lot of the music contained within the symphony's older material, the sheet music isn't really notated properly for human performance. For example, dynamics are label p instead p, and certain playing techniques needed must be labeled in correctly. Also, I've included Alto flute into the symphony, an instrument not covered on Sibelius's, my score writing software, initial instrument line up. Therefore, I must manually transpose the part score for that instrument if I wish for that part to be legible to the alto flutist.
 2. Listen in for details: Now that I'm no longer shackled by the thought of what instruments to put in, I can simply focus on the music and listen closely. There are instrumentation and osstinato that I know should be there but haven't quite gotten too, so I'll be doing that for probably a week.
 3. Publish the audio: Once I've decided the music is as good as can be, I'll publish the audio on Bandcamp, YouTube, and here. I'll upload the music as singles here on Newgrounds abd Bandcamp. and get rid of those ugly "demo tracks" that I've published recently. I'll upload the symphony on YouTube as an album; perhaps as a score reading video too.
 4. Complete/Publish the Standard Notation: After the audio's published, I'll include in the sheet music things like a title page and details on instrumentation. That way, this symphony can really be stage ready.

Personally, I'm looking forward to sharing the symphony with my family and friends. A few of them will recieve a hard copy of the MIDI and the standard notation. That way, Ali and Tori can share with their entorouge and have a good memory and maybe some fuzzy feelings, as in "Wow, someone wrote a god-damned symphony in my name!". Even if after finishing this it's reception's nil, I'll live and die happily knowing I created something appreciable in my life. It's not revolutionary, it's not epic, nor very catchy for the mainstream listener, but it's mine.

Thanks for reading; The real challenge will be trying to find an orchestra willing to play this live.

I've published the third movement here. Essentially, I've orchestrated and revised three previous songs and connected them together to make a symphonic movement. Lots of repeating themes in this one :) The symphony's just one song and some revisions away from being complete. I reckon I'll have the symphony, details, and sheet music, published by the end of the month.

To do list

 1. Write one more song, a violin interlude from Emin to Ebmin to establish the new ley signature for the final movement.
 2. Orchestrate "Journey Through a New World"
 3. The final songs, "You WIll Previal" and "Symphony Allegro", are already pretty well orchestrated so those might finish themselves.
 4. Details, details, details. Listen to the entire thing and decide if it's as good as it's getting.
 5. Proofread the sheet music, then publish them on IMSLP.org

So that's where I'm at. Thanks ofr reading.

So, I decided to quit being a poser and actually rented the instrument that I write soo much music for. As of right now, I'm squeaking my neighbors into a coma. Maybe in a year or two I'll be able to play my own songs and truly enjoy this instrument.

Also, I finished the prelude to the third movement so that's something to look forward to. So currently I'm orchestrating Trust in Despair, then Theme of Distrubed Wind will be the finale to that movement. There's one more movement after that, then some proofreading and I think it'll be done then. At this rate, the symphony might be out for listening in a month.

Thanks for listening and reading and appreciating everyone. Have fun!

Symphony No. 1 in E: Allison & Victoria W.I.P. by Tyler Boyle

This movement was tedious to arrange. Alas, it's finished and I'm satisified with the result and I'll look forward to uploading it here tonight; night time meaning more views :D Few more tasks await the conclusion of the work I'll list them below

The to do list for the symphony

 1. Write the brass interlude that connects the second and third movements.
 2. Trust in Despair, since it's a chamber work I'll have to orchestrate it.
 3. Remaster remaining tracks: Detail work on the orchestra songs; accompainment on the remaining harp solo.
 4. Perhaps write one more song.
 5. Proofreed entire score when finished, make sure everything flows.
 6. Divide Sheet music into movements.

Thank y'all so much for following and reading. Have fun!

Power got restore in the matter of days. I got the easy end of it all; I did have to clear out my bank account in order to restock the fridge and pay off some bills, so that was fun. A couple days later. I just finished one of the songs of the second movement; an orchestral version of this song.

I'll have to look at the newer Amnesia, Love & Anguish after the rest of the symphony is finished. I feel that song came from the heart, and requires extra attention; something that needs to be looked at when I'm not in "grr... move on to the next song already!" mode. Anywho, I'll be able to post a true second movement preview within a week if not less.

I've decided to add a couple more songs, Trust in Despair and Theme of The Disturbed Wind. This'll be part of a third movement. The symphony'll now have four movements, and roughly estimating 45min. of music at this rate. The music is quite pleasant. I'm shock it's coming out as well as it is. My dream is that maybe I could find a local orchestra that'll play it :)

The to do list for the symphony

 1. After finishing Triumph, I'll add a new movement in Emin, which will be preceded with a brass section interlude. That'll be a new song I haven't written yet.
 2. Remaster remaining tracks: Detail work on the orchestra songs; accompainment on the remaining harp solos.
 3. Perhaps write one more song.
 4. Proofreed entire score when finished, make sure everything flows.
 5. Divide Sheet music into movements.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope this helps y'all feel satisfied with information regarding what I'm up to.
