Interesting, say you wouldn't be influenced by neo-tonality and neo-classical music like Liebermann would you? Personally, I would've uploaded the three passages as three separate loops. It's obviously too abrupt a changes to include as a song song without some sort of interlude.

The first passage was sweet. Piano and continuo in the sweet key of Dmaj is lovely. Then all of a sudden oriental inspired ensemble in Bb, not my taste but it seemed fine (again not my style music so I can't say much). The final passage sounds like the development section to a chamber group concerto with some jazz inspired pizz. bass.

It's good music. Perhaps I don't like the way it was presented. Definitely continue to hone your craft. You're creative for sure.

In hindsight, I really should have uploaded separately. Maybe extend each part, could try to update this. It was a while ago, but I think it was so I could just save space haha.

Not the biggest fan of avant-garde; that being said this is a catchy conundrum you have going on here. The key of A-major is lovely. I'm really loving the sixteenth notes coming off these violins and the drone notes for the string bass. The sharpie pen and claps at the end; almost like ya signed your name at the end of the document here. Good work!

boots-and-pants-and-boots-and-pants-and-boots-and-pants-and... Loving the initial drum beat. That cello too, good melodies aren't always the most eccentric or complicated. Good work, Snowy Road from the former SnowyTeddy :)

Thank you for your review. Happy holiday! :D

I know it seems like I five star a lot of your audio but it truly fascinates me classical piano music. Because you improv though, the music is free of typical song structures that might force a song or piece to sound too refined. I'm not saying every song shouldn't be diatonic and structured; the world needs music like that. I've always enjoyed more adventurous tunes that wasn't afraid to switch between neighboring keys and relative minors.

I love your shift from A maj to G maj to A to Amin. The use of 5ths/power chords was added like the right amount of seasoning upon a dish. Such fast arpeggios around the five minute mark. Do you study Ravel's work? This piece in particular is an aurora of sound and dizzying pleasantry. I should transcribe this and share it sometime it's really lovely and an extreme display of talent.

you should check out one of my favorite composers: Lowell Liebermann. an american born piano player/composer. Check out his piece called 'Gargoyles" or most of his Nocturnes. you will see where i get most of my inspiration from.

Despite cycling mostly three chords I felt a strong E minor feel. Thematic development was lovely as always. This is easy listening for the classical piano enthusiast. Speaking of that, do you know Danill Trifonov? He's a world class pianist that completed Liszt's Transcendental Etudes, I think you'd find it fascinating. Thakns for sharing adaMills. Piano improv must be a fine catharsis.

Sounds inspired by cinema-like trailers even before reading the comments. There's room in the world for music like this of course. This piece's prove that flutes can sound commanding and robust. It's nice that set it up as a loop that way it'd work as video game music. Thakns for sharing I0TA.

Thank you for your review. :) Take care and happy holidays!

It's lovely that you play these eccentric uplifting improv's too. It's definitely fascinating how you shifted from A to Eb maj then Gb too. It all just flows from your fingers! I'm super jelly face.

Didn't think you did electronic music ada. Thanks for sharing this is a catchy theme and the arpeggios do arouse this mental image of a dreamscape. The way it's switches between D major and Fmajor. G#, then the chromatic climb from C turnaround back to the D chord again. Extremely well arranged. Good work here ada.

adaMills thanks for sharing again. Your improvs always sound somehow refined, it's like good themes just pour out of you. I have to transcribe your work sometime. Your chord choices and voicings are fascinating. The development around 2:30 is seamless and adventurous; yet somehow you managed to return to home base in Bb and even recaped the theme from the beginning. BTW tell if I'm wrong but I'm feeling a 6/8 sorta vibe/rhythm. This is great work adaMills. I bet people fall in love with you all the time XD

adaMills responds:

yes, it is in a compound duple meter. gotta have that sway in the music. people love me until insaneman comes out to play. hehe. thanks for listening!

I have to disagree with Malthiest here. If you've ever heard Glenn Gould take on the the Goldberg Variations then you'd know that this is Bachian type counter-point and fugue. Also, the music of Lizst and Beethoven are just as fast. It's a scherzo anyways, supposed to be sort of a joke. The fast flirries of notes could be the "joke" here. Good work ClassicalFreak.

I used to animate flash cartoons as a teen, but now I compose contemporary orchestral and classical music. Instruments I Play Guitar, Ukulele, and Clarinet/Bass Clarinet.
