Another Symphony Update. That song in the title is finished. The to do list of remaining tasks.

  1. Remaster remaining tracks: Detail work on the orchestra songs; accompainment on the remaining harp solo. At this point, I pretty much just need to connect the songs together, the remaining music's pretty well orchestrated as it is. I'll still go through them of course.
  2. Perhaps write one more song.
  3. Proofreed entire score when finished, make sure everything flows.

For now, That's all I can say. I'll drop provide the playlist again. Look forward to any new music and I'll share the symphony when it's finished. Thanks for reading.

Another Symphony Update. That song in the title is finished, and I'll probably share it on bandcamp and Youtube and a single track here. The to do list of remaining tasks.

Remaster remaining tracks (detail work on the orchestra songs; accompainment on the harp solos)
Write one more song
Decide on a key signature for some songs.
Proofreed entire score when finished, make sure everything flows.

So, I published a bass clarinet and harp suite. This'll do well while I finish the symphony. Thanks for reading

Figure I'd give y'all an update. So, I wrote the opening theme which is available for your listening pleasure.  Using a bassoon solo, the opening transitions to the beginning of the 1st Movement, Blissful Venture. Remastering Blissful Venture is the next task. The to do list of remaining tasks.

  1. Remaster each track (detail work on the orchestra songs; accompainment on the harp solos)
  2. Write one more song
  3. Decide on a key signature for some songs.
  4. Proofreed entire score when finished, make sure everything flows.

For now, That's all I can say. I'll drop a snapshot and provide the playlist so far. I won't reupload any songs I have already, but I'll post any new songs and share the symphony when it's finished. Thanks for reading.

So, I'm truly going for it. Toying around with the idea of writing an epic orchestral score for a while, but now with 32 published works, including nine orchestra pieces and five harp solos, I think I have enough original source material to create a wholesome symphony. It'll be a smaller symphony that's about 30mins. long, To make it a symphony... well... I'll provide a tracklist first then elaborate upon that.

Setlist

  1. Blissful Venture
  2. Liam's Lullaby
  3. Triumph in E Major
  4. Using Journey Through a New World, I want an interlude that prepares the listener for a key change
  5. You Will Prevail
  6. Finale being Symphony Allegro

So far that's twenty minutes and fourteen seconds of music. To make it into symphony form, I'll add an opening, then transition phrases between songs. That'd extend the music to at least twenty-five minutes. Add some orchestral ornamentation to the harp songs would help; I might need to write one more song, not sure if it should be an all new song or if it'd be an orchestrated version of "Thinking About" perhaps.

I'll definitely need to re-work some of the music, proofreed and ensure quality with my gained experience. Making sure the sheetmusic/notation is accurate too. That's my grand idea, and I could probably submit it to the few local orchestras in this tri-county area. Even if they don't accept the work, I created something that I could be proud of and isn't that just great too? This'll be the next project I'm working on. If any new songs finish, I'll publish them here. I'll publish the symphony in full too here as well.

Making money isn't the goal, but that'd be nice. Maybe submitting the work will prove folly, and that's fine. I'll be happy in just creating this work even if no one enjoys it. Being proud in being imaginative and creating art is a great outlet that . Most of all, it'll be fun and rewarding for me. Thanks for reading.

I've finished the orchestral version of my most recent work, "You Will Prevail". I'll post the YouTube video below. I will upload to the portal in a half-hour to boost view count. The fun part of this song is that it could go well into Symphony Allegro, thus could be the basis for a full symphonic movement. I think I could have a full length symphony wriiten soon enough. If I did finish it, I'd totally submit it to the local chamber orchestra. That might be the thing that'd get them interested, a symphonic movement. Thanks for reading!

So, I'm working on a more intimate piece in Eb minor. It's set up as an ensemble, oboe, english horn, Piano, Violin, and Cello so far. It'll be done by tommorrow night! The fun part is that this song could be orchestrated by the sound of it, which is just what I might do when I'm finished with this version. That's all, otherwise, life as usual. Thanks for reading.

It's reasonable to think that 19 minutes and 36 secs is enough music to justify creating an EP. I plan on giving this collection to a friend to keep his baby calm while he drives him places. Since these songs have 200-400 view on NG, I figure it'd be worth sharing in the form of an EP and arrange it into a suite, maybe one day it could be performed. Perhaps I could sell this, or maybe just find a way to get it played by humans first then sell it... who knows? Thanks for reading.

Hello again!

With this post, I'll share with y'all my project ideas and a recent happening. The recent happening being me considering buying a bass clarinet and/or a standard Bb clarinet. Listened to some New Orleans Jazz and Rhapshody in Blue made me realize how intrigued by the standard clarinet I am now. I've been considering a bass clarinet for awhile, after all I've been writing lots of music for it :)

Speaking of writing music, here are my projects that I have in mind currently.

This Heart is Numb - A good 'ol bass clarinet and harp song! I wanted to revist a theme in the Burnt Okra song and develop it. It's in B minor, and yes it's somewhat sad. I could make it happy, only time will tell. It'll have a solo on each instrument, but it should be a short song. I'll probably have it done by tomorrow night.

Ensemble - I'm thinking Bass Clarinet, Two Clarinets, and a Viola and Cello. Maybe  it'll be in Bb, maybe I'll include a piano instead, not sure. I suppose this'll be the next bigger song to work on once I finish the above project.

That let's you know what I'm up to these days. Clarinets and music for clarinets on my mind. That, and making cars look brand new where I work. Thanks for reading and have a good day.
